Attend City Government Meetings
The greater the number of people at city council meetings, the more city council members feel they are being held accountable. When important issues are being decided, testimony by only a few people can make a difference in how council members vote. City council meetings happen at 7 pm on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month in the city council chambers at city hall (125 E. Main St).

Tell Your Friends!
Grass Valley Neighbors is a grass roots organization. We depend on people spreading the word about us and our activities. Encourage your friends to come to the next Neigbhors meeting. Tell them about this Website. If you have friends with email addresses who may be interested in learning more about Grass Valley Neighbors, email the webmaster with their names and addresses so that we can send them the URL for this site.

Express Your Opinion
Letter writing can be an extremely effective way of influencing policy and city government decisions. Letters to the editor expressing concern about community issues such as traffic get noticed; elected officials pay attention if you take the time to write to them. Phone calls to elected officials or their staffs can be even more effective. | Tips for writing effective letters |
